Make: Electronics Book Experiment 16 - Building audio oscillators

Описание к видео Make: Electronics Book Experiment 16 - Building audio oscillators

This is part of a series of videos in which I try out some experiments from 'Make: Electronics', Charles Platt's excellent introduction to electronics.

In this video, I try out Experiment 16 in which the book continues experiments with the famous 555 timer chip. In these experiments we are using it to create a simple audio oscillator.

00:00 - Introduction
00:55 - 555 astable circuit explained
05:47 - 555 audio tone generator demo
07:17 - Visualising circuit behaviour with oscilloscope
08:26 - Pulse waves and Square waves explained
09:57 - Adding a diode to create a square wave
14:40 - Circuit with diode to generate square wave
16:09 - Square wave circuit problem diagnosed
17:51 - Fixed square wave circuit demo
19:22 - Using the Control pin
22:42 - Control pin demo
24:06 - Using one 555 as Control input for another 555
25:46 - Diagnosing faulty circuit
26:17 - Dual 555 circuit demo
28:30 - Outro
