At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul cover w/ Axe-FX II FW19 Diezel Herbert

Slaughter of the Soul is one of my favorite albums and one of my biggest influences ever. This year will be its 20th anniversary since it was released back in 1995 and I felt like paying my tribute by covering the title track. It was bound to happen since doing Blinded by Fear a few years back.

It's a lot of fun to play but it also requires a LOT of endurance/stamina in your picking arm. It also takes a lot of practice to play it really tight.

As for the recording, here's what I used for those that are into that kind of thing. All guitars and bass were recorded with the Axe-FX II loaded with the latest firmware (v19). Main tone is the Diezel Herbert model. The bass is the FAS Bass with a 4x10 cab, and for the leads I used one of the stock presets, FAS Lead 1 or 2 (can't remember which one I used lol). Drums are as always, SD2 with The Metal Foundry.
