Freedom Land, the national anthem of Ambazonia, the Anglophone state in the Southern Cameroons region.

Ambazonia, officially the Federal Republic of Ambazonia and commonly referred to as Amba Land, is a self-declared state, internationally considered an autonomous anglophone state of the UN-created Cameroon federation of 1961. The federation was controversially abolished between May 1972 and January 1984 by the majority French-speaking political leadership of Cameroon. Since that time the component federal state of French-speaking Cameroon has attempted to re-emerge with English-speaking Ambazonia tagged onto herself as mere regions in an admitted assimilation project amidst fierce resistance. Ambazonia is the successor state to the former British Mandate Territory of Southern Cameroons.

The state was declared in 2017 at the beginning of the Anglophone Crisis, a war started by Anglophone separatists in Cameroon. The Anglophones cite years of discrimination and an ongoing effort to erase their culture and language as the reason for seceding. The war continues to this day as the people of Ambazonia struggle for their freedom from an oppressive dictatorship which wishes to wipe them out of existence.

Freedom Land was released in 2014 and served as an anthem of separatist advocacy groups in the region before the war began in 2017.
