Join me on a walking tour of Alicante Spain during our transatlantic cruise on Oasis of the Seas, this was day 13 of the cruise May 2024.

One of the most prominent is the Santa Barbara Castle, a large 16th-century castle that offers panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. The castle also houses a museum that recounts the history of the city. The Archaeological Museum of Alicante (MARQ) is another significant site, covering prehistory, classical antiquity, and the Middle Ages, providing a detailed insight into the local culture and history.

Alicante's Old Town, known as Barrio Santa Cruz, is a charming and picturesque neighborhood located in the heart of the city. It is one of the oldest parts of the city and is home to some of the oldest buildings, including the Basilica de Santa Maria, which was built in the 13th century.
