Niemiecki reżyser, scenarzysta i producent. Studiował na Akademii Sztuki w Berlinie oraz w American Film Institute w Los Angeles. Pracował jako dyrektor kreatywny w firmach reklamowych w Londynie i Hamburgu, następnie założył własną firmę produkcyjną Hermann Vaske's Emotional Network we Frankfurcie nad Menem, gdzie zrealizował liczne kampanie reklamowe oraz filmy dokumentalne i fabularne dla telewizji. Jako reżyser pracował z wybitnymi aktorami takimi jak Dennis Hopper, Harvey Keitel, Peter Ustinov i John Cleese. Zdobył liczne nagrody, w tym Grimme Award, najważniejszą niemiecką nagrodę telewizyjną. Jest członkiem Europejskiej Akademii Filmowej.

German director, screenwriter and producer. He studied at the Berlin Art Academy and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. After working as a creative director for advertising companies in London and Hamburg, he founded the production company Hermann Vaske's Emotional Network in Frankfurt am Main, which has created numerous ad campaigns, documentaries and TV features. As a director he has worked with great actors like Dennis Hopper, Harvey Keitel, Sir Peter Ustinov and John Cleese. He has won numerous prizes, including the Grimme Award, Germany’s most important TV prize. He is a member of the European Film Academy.

The legendary Dennis Hopper (1936-2010) returns in the reminiscences of his film industry friends: Wim Wenders, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Kruger, Michael Madsen as well as architect Frank Gehry, musician Kris Kristofferson and many others. We trace his journey from his youth on the plains of Kansas to his extraordinary career in and on the edge of Hollywood. What was he really like, this embodiment of a rebel against American conformism, who created unforgettable characters in films like ‘Easy Rider’, ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘Blue Velvet’? Why was cinema not enough, photography being his other passion next to acting? His works have been exhibited at the world’s best galleries.
