Severe flooding in northern Morocco has triggered one of the largest evacuation efforts in recent years, with more than 108,000 people moved to safety as heavy rains and rising rivers inundate towns and farmland across multiple provinces. Rescue teams, including army units, are working around the clock using buses, boats, and helicopters to evacuate residents from high‑risk areas such as Ksar El Kebir, Larache, Kenitra and Sidi Kacem, while temporary shelters are being set up to provide food, medical aid and accommodation. The Loukkos and Sebou rivers have overflowed, cutting off roads and leaving neighbourhoods submerged, and authorities have issued red weather alerts as the extreme weather continues to challenge emergency response operations.
