What if I told you that even as someone who’s had a capsule wardrobe for almost 10 years, I still feel like I have too much stuff in my wardrobe. I still get overwhelmed by the amount of clothes I own, and the amount of clothes I purchase, even if it is mostly second hand. In 2023 I embarked on a no-buy year, and since then my desire to have less has become even stronger.

Today I’ve decided to finally pull ALLLL of my clothing out of my wardrobe, out of storage, and out of every suitcase I own, to see the full extent to what I own. This is to do 2 things.

1. I want to see exactly how much I own, so that the next time I want to shop, I can stop myself in the moment and remind myself that I already have everything I could possibly need to dress myself for the next few years.

2. I want to finally declutter the pieces I no longer wear, and that no longer align with the version of me I want to be, and with my personal style.
