Описание к видео Don’t Judge Kids: Telugu Parenting Coach Explains Why

When your child meets someone famous or an elder, the sparkle in their eyes may hide a racing heart. In this episode of Smart Parenting Hub, parenting coach Dr Swetha Reddy explains why a child’s so-called “rude” or “disrespectful” reaction may actually be anxiety mixed with excitement — not defiance.

In the moment they stand before a celebrity, cameras flashing, or an elder with authority, their brain is doing double duty: processing admiration + nervousness + expectation. They want to be cool, confident, and meet your expectation — so they mask the anxiety as over-confidence.

Dr Swetha dives into what the child is really feeling: emotional learning still in progress, impulses racing, nerves high, and their “cover face” of boldness. She shows you how to shift from judgement (“Why did they behave like that?”) to empathy (“I see you, I understand you”). Because when we show empathy instead of anger, children are far less likely to retreat into their emotional shell.

🔑 In this session you’ll learn:
• Why children’s brains react this way in high-stimulus moments.
• How over-confidence can hide anxiety and nervousness.
• Simple empathetic responses you as a parent or elder can use.
• How to create a safe space so your child doesn’t withdraw or shut down.

If you’re a Telugu-speaking parent, guardian or educator looking to understand what’s really going on inside your child when they “act out” or appear rude — this video is for you. Don’t just correct, connect. Don’t just judge, understand.
