With the world celebrating International Mother Language Day today, the SABC and Pan South African Language Board, have signed an agreement to work together to preserve official languages.
This took place during the celebrations to commemorate this day in Polokwane, Limpopo. It comes ahead of the SABC's official launch of a 24-hour news channel, which will broadcast in all our eleven official African languages. Both the SABC and Pansalb say they share a common goal of preserving African languages. Koketšo Motau reports.
