I'm not ashamed to admit that I've seen what the healthcare system does to Black women with hair loss.

I've watched women sit in my office and cry because they spent years being dismissed. Being told it's just stress. Being told it's genetic and there's nothing they can do. Being handed a prescription for something that doesn't address the root cause and sent home without answers.

I'm also not ashamed to admit that the traditional medical model isn't designed to help you. It's designed to manage symptoms, not find root causes. It's designed for quick appointments, not comprehensive testing. It's designed around lab ranges that are based on sick populations, not optimal health 🔬

I'm not ashamed to admit that most hair loss is reversible when you actually address what's causing it. That the women who've been told there's no hope have sat in my chair and regrown their hair when someone finally listened, ran the right tests, and gave them a real protocol.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I believe every woman deserves better than what the traditional healthcare system offers. Especially Black women who've been dismissed, overlooked, and undertreated for far too long.
