Lost Civil War Gold: The True Story and Where Some of the Treasure could be Hidden

Описание к видео Lost Civil War Gold: The True Story and Where Some of the Treasure could be Hidden

One of the biggest mysteries after the Civil War was the disappearance of Confederate Gold in Lincolnton, GA. The story goes that the Confederate treasury was moving from Virginia to Georgia, ans plenty of that money paid to Soldiers along the way. They made it to Washington, GA and the funds stayed there. Well the bank notes needed to go back to Virginia, because they were the peoples money ans not the Confederate money. A wagon train filled with gold and silver left the bank in Washington, and they camped out at the Moss house in Lincolnton Georgia. Well, that night they were robbed by a band of about 20 ex confederate soldiers and around $180,000 was never recovered. So where is the rest of this money? Did people take it and bury it around in Lincolnton? Is there still some left on the ground or beneath the surface? In this podcast we talk with Bob Young, author of the Treasure Train and Graball Road, who discusses the actual historical events that happened and gives us his opinion if there is any gold still left in Lincoln county.
