Just two weeks ago, this was a simple video call about moving to the Philippines.

They were in Wales talking about their dream of relocating from the UK to Bohol and starting a new life in the Philippines. I mentioned an affordable piece of land by a creek here in Bohol — beautiful, peaceful… but yes, it carries some flood risk.

We brought in a local engineer to assess the flood risk and mitigation options. We discussed earthworks, building placement, and long-term planning. Without any hesitation, they said "Lets Do It!"

Two weeks later, they flew to Bohol with their daughters to stand on the land where they plan to build their dream home — seeing it for the first time.

Brett has never even been to the Philippines, And today is the first time he’s standing on land he already owns.

They’re preparing to leave the UK, bringing their two daughters, and start remotely building in Bohol while they wind up their life in the UK.
