The lyrics of Gil-galad’s lament in episode 2x01 (‘Elven Kings under the Sky’) share a similar fate with the Eregion theme as only the second part is used in the show and the end credits.

The chimes of the glockenspiel (2:40-3:00) are from the version of the season album, but they fit strangely well.

Gil-galad’s words are a translation into Quenya of parts of Galadriel's song in ‘Farewell to Lórien’.
