In this lesson, you will learn how to multiply two decimal numbers together. The procedure is the same as it is for multiplying whole numbers with the main exception that when we get to the answer we need to know where to put the decimal point. In order to do this, we count the number of digits after the decimal point in the problem statement. The total number of digits after the decimal here is then the same as it is in the answer. Once we place the decimal point in the answer, the problem is complete. We will practice solving example problems so that you can gain practice and experience with multiplying decimals.
