Welcome to the very first episode of the series SAILING THROUGH MALDIVES. Are we crazy? Maybe.

We are travelling through Maldives on our 40ft Sailboat named Nakaiy. She has a very special place in our heart since we had a salvage project less than 6 months ago to bring her to Maldives, we fixed her up, hauled her out and made her beautiful again. On the other hand, lets start with the question again are we crazy, YES! We are planning to sail to every island in the Maldives. From local, resort and secluded. And we want to share this journey with you!

Welcome to Dhigurah. The island of Dhigurah is in the Atoll of South Ari (also known as Alif Daal Atoll), about 100 km from the airport and the capital - Male. The length of the island of Dhigurah (in translation from Divehi - a long island) is about 3 kilometers, and the maximum width is only 250 meters.
