Why an AWS certification won't get you a high salary

Many job / recruitment websites state that individuals with AWS certifications can earn a certain salary or salary range. For example, some websites claim that those who have earned the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certification earn on average $160,000 USD per year. Unfortunately, this is just not true.

The certification will not get you that salary if you don't have industry experience. For those that do land these jobs - the experience counts for 90% of their success, not the certification!
