About the palace:
This 300years old palace was built by one of the Haleri King of Kodagu Doddaveera Rajendra in 1792 AD. The palace used to be a hideout place for the Haleri rulers.
This palace was the last refuge of the last of the Haleri kings of Kodagu, Chikka Veerarajendra before he was sent to exile by the British
Recently undertaken and renovated by the archeological department and converted into a tourist place.
