Well here we are again folks with another Beatles cover from RT’s Vault of Eras Band.
“Yer Blues” has always been one of my favourite Beatles songs. It’s a Lennon song of course, and you can feel the raw emotion in John’s vocal delivery.

This project was proposed to me in January 2021 by my friend Michel Perron who has his own Blues band here on the south shore of Montreal. Since I was planning on renovating my studio entirely, I only had time to make reference tracks for the boys as well as laying down my guitar tracks before closing the shop for about 4 months. Then I had to learn to work with my brand-new studio gear… New computer, new speakers, new audio interface etc…

Just as I was ready to roll again, I got a really bad and nasty injury to my left shoulder while playing golf. I could not move my arm at all, it was completely blocked. Playing guitar was impossible. Anyway, long story short, I had a surgery to my left shoulder on the 13 of October 2021. As I’m writing this, I’m recovering slowly, but surely. I’ve not played guitar at all in 6 months…

According to my surgeon, I should be able to start playing guitar around Christmastime.
