THE EDGE of NIGHT ABC 90 MIN SPECIAL December 1, 1975

Описание к видео THE EDGE of NIGHT ABC 90 MIN SPECIAL December 1, 1975

The Edge of Night moved from CBS to ABC on December 1, 1975 with a 90 minute special that beautifully summarized all the stories created by Emmy winner Henry Slesar.
It was the end of an era on EDGE as well as soap opera in general. The Edge of Night was the final soap to stop taping LIVE on November 28, 1975. By the 80s, ABC's GH producer Gloria Monty had changed the game by demanding quicker stories, younger casts and better production values. The other soaps soon followed suit. I joined EDGE as Raven Alexander in 1977 during the transition. It was a very exciting time to be on Daytime TV.
This beautiful time capsule of soap history remains a genre gem.
