The FAA Remote ID refers to the Remote Identification of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) rule implemented by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the United States. The rule requires most drones or unmanned aircraft to have remote identification capabilities.

Remote ID is essentially a system that allows for the identification and tracking of unmanned aircraft while they are in flight. It provides crucial information about the drone and its operator to law enforcement, national security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. The Remote ID rule was established to enhance safety, security, and accountability in the expanding drone industry.
