Stanton Ironworks - The Remians of a Fallen Empire

Stanton Ironworks was once one of the largest employers in Derbyshire. Situated near the town of Ilkeston it once emplyed almost 7500 staff at its peak.

Since its demise in 2007, most o the site has been demolished with some areas repurposed.

We take a look inside some of what remains, there is plenty to see and it is haunting just how much equipment was just left and abandoned on that final day in 2007 when remianing staff finished for the day never to return.
