One Hand🤚 Frieren ED Anytime Anywhere Piano Cover

Happy 2024!

The anime starts at the end of a 10 year journey to defeat the Demon King. A decade is a long time and the bonds of people should have been well forged with that time. But to Frieren, a decade is like a weekend with her extremely long life span. So she goes back to her daily life as if nothing happened. However, with the passage of time, her teammates die off one by one. With this does Frieren realize that she didn't treasure her friends.

The anime deals with loss and coming to terms with it. I tried to internalize this concept by making a one hand only piano cover of the song.

The verse 0:00 has a calm quality to it. I imagine Frieren going to rest after a long day.

The prechorus 0:29 has a more wistful feel to it. I imagine her reminiscing about her journey with her team mates. The melody is first played by different fingers, then additional melodies are added.

She then falls asleep. The music in the cadenza 0:55 speeds up and gets louder little by little to whisk her off to her dreams.

And with the chorus 1:14 comes an outpouring of emotions. The music is played loudly across wide ranges of the piano. (Sorry for the mistakes as well~)

I've added a coda to heighten the emotions in this moment. Another cadenza 2:00 ends the dream and the calm section after then brings her back to the present; waking up to the sunrise 2:17.

Being thankful for the memories, she looks forward to the future ahead knowing that she still has her friends in her heart and she strives to make the most with her time with her friends that are still alive, as well as honoring the friends that have already gone ahead. I imagine this at 2:24 with the meteor shower scene when her teammates are already old. It is melancholic yet hopeful at the same time.
