HOKA Top Trails - Boulder, CO

Описание к видео HOKA Top Trails - Boulder, CO

Our third stop for the HOKA Top Trails running show is Boulder, CO. Located at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills at an elevation of 5,430 feet, Boulder is a high-altitude training ground for fitness enthusiasts of all kinds. The city is also home to the University of Colorado, who’s 1998 cross country program was highlighted in the cult classic book Running with the Buffaloes, and the Bolder Boulder 10K- one of the largest road races in the world. Boulder resident, Amanda Lee takes us on a run to the peak of Mt. Sanitas, starting at the Centennial Trailhead and taking the rocky and technical Mt. Sanitas Trail.

The trailheads for many popular hikes and runs are located at Chautauqua Park, which sits at the foot of Green Mountain and provides views of the iconic Flatiron rock formations. Our hosts, Matt Barnhart and Ian Terpin head to Chautauqua Park and meet up with Ryan Lassen (Co-Founder, Rocky Mountain Runners) and the trail running group “Rocky Mountain Runners” for a run up Green Mountain. Next they visit the Boulder Running Company and talk to Jim Shonkwiler about the trails and some of Boulder’s running history. They sit down for breakfast at the Walnut Cafe and talk to coach Brad Hudson about his elite training group Hudson Elite. Henry Guzman (Co-Owner, Flatirons Running Inc.) sits down at the Pearl St. Mall to talk about the culture in Boulder and the Pearl St. Mile. Finally, Matt and Ian grab some pizza at Pizzeria Locale.
