Square Enix released a special Demo for Final Fanatasy XV back in 2015 known as "Episode Duscae". This is the earliest playable version of the game which shows a bunch of different ideas that were scrapped along with an in-development build of the Duscae region. Putting it lightly, it's VERY different to the final game!
