Flanger comparison BOSS BF-2 vs MXR M152 Micro Flanger into a Laney Lionheart Amp

Описание к видео Flanger comparison BOSS BF-2 vs MXR M152 Micro Flanger into a Laney Lionheart Amp

This is a comparison of a 1990 MIJ BOSS BF-2 Flanger and a MXR M152 Micro Flanger re-issue. The pedals are going into the front of a Laney Lionheart L20H head (clean channel) and then into a 2 x 12 Celestion impulse response.

In the first section of this video, I vary the RATE and DEPTH/REGEN controls of the flangers and apply them to an arpeggiated guitar part.

In the second section, again I vary the RATE and DEPTH/REGEN controls but this time they are applied to a distorted rhythm guitar part. The distortion comes from an MXR 'Duke of Tone' that is placed in front of the flangers.

In the third section, I only adjust the flanger's RATE control to demonstrate the faster rates on a clean guitar phase.

In the fourth section, I only adjust the DEPTH/REGEN control to show the 'sweep' of the flangers over a clean rhythm guitar.

Finally, section five demonstrates the flangers applied to a clean guitar solo. The guitar is an Epiphone 50's Les Paul and the front pickup is selected.

I used the bridge pickup on a USA Fender Stratocaster for all the guitar parts, except for the solo. The Bass is a Fender Player JazzBass.
