Get your office ready for a smooth, efficient window film installation. In this video, Chad Shields (Project Manager, American Window Film) explains exactly how to prepare your space so our crew can work quickly, safely, and with minimal disruption. Interior solar window film reflects solar energy, reduces heat and glare, and helps lower your building’s energy consumption — all by upgrading the performance of your existing glass.

What to do before our team arrives (tenant/office prep):

Clear a 3-ft workspace along windows (desks, side tables, small furniture).
Power down & unplug electronics (computers, speakers, printers) and move them away from the window edge.
Remove items on/near glass (notes, stickers, photos, décor) and store them safely.
Move small décor & wall art so nothing is at risk during installation.
Leave heavy items (large filing cabinets/shelving) — we’ll work around those when possible.
Short on time? We can help. We’ll carefully move items as needed and use reference photos to put things back.

After installation — what’s normal:
You may see small bubbles or hazy areas in the first few days. That’s just installation water evaporating. This is normal and typically resolves within 3–4 weeks (we recommend allowing 30 days). If something looks off after 30 days, contact us and we’ll take a look.
