The Chinese People's Liberation Army's (PLA) Eastern Theater Command on Tuesday began joint exercises around the Taiwan island, according to Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson for the theater command.

The theater command organized its army, navy, air and rocket forces to close in on the island from multiple directions, Shi said.

The PLA released a new video to coincide with the joint military exercise. Take a look at the highlights of the video posted by the PLA.
