One of the most common WordPress beginner questions is: what is the difference between Pages and Posts in Wordpress? How do I know which one to use when I want to publish content?

It's important to know the differences and which to use for each piece of content.

In this video, I'll walk you through the difference between Pages vs Posts in WordPress with a sample website.

I will NOT use PowerPoint slides, I will NOT use screenshots. I believe the best way to learn WordPress is by example, so that's how I will teach you.

As a preview, allow me to list some of the differences I will explain in the video:

Pages
are good for static information, for content that doesn't change often. For example, Pages are good for About Us, Contact Us, Services pages.
can have parent/child relationships to other pages.

Posts
are good for time-based information, for articles that you publish in a regular basis or for a news section on a business website.
usually display a published date, author, category and tags.
are easily organized into month archives, such as January 2018/February 2018 and so on.
