Day 7: Jispa to Gurgaon – Wrapping Up the Adventure

Day 7 was the final chapter of an incredible journey, and it was a day that tested our endurance to the limit. Starting from Jispa at 11 AM, we planned to stop at Malana Village, but the mountains had other plans. A cloudburst in Malana caused the Parvati River to flood, washing away roads and making it impossible to reach our destination. With excessive rain and landslides reported across Himachal Pradesh, we made the tough decision to head straight back to Gurgaon.

As we approached Manali, the roads were blocked, and sections of the highway had been completely washed away. We had to reroute through smaller village roads and the old Manali route, taking hours to bypass the affected areas. After navigating challenging detours and rough terrain, we finally made it back to the highway near Kullu.

The rest of the ride felt smoother, but the weight of the day’s challenges lingered. We pushed through and finally reached Gurgaon at 2 AM, exhausted but deeply fulfilled. This ride, covering nearly 1,000 km in one go, was the perfect conclusion to a journey that has taken us through some of the most breathtaking landscapes and intense challenges.

Over the last 8 days, we’ve crossed mighty glaciers, conquered high-altitude passes, and navigated through floods and landslides. Each day brought its own set of adventures, but the camaraderie and determination among our group made every moment unforgettable. We set out to challenge ourselves, and we did just that—pushing our limits, growing as riders, and deepening our bond along the way.
