The Indian Army has issued a firm warning to Pakistan, stating that Operation Sindoor is ongoing and that any future misadventure by the adversary will be met with an effective and decisive response. Addressing a press conference Tuesday, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi said the operation represents India’s calibrated and resolute response to cross-border terrorism.

Gen Dwivedi said Operation Sindoor has reset strategic assumptions, with Indian military actions striking deep to dismantle terror infrastructure and challenge Pakistan’s long-standing nuclear rhetoric. He confirmed that the Army has mobilised its forces and remains fully prepared for ground offensives if required, underscoring India’s readiness across all fronts.

On the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, the Army Chief stated that the situation remains stable but demands constant vigilance. He noted that renewed dialogue and confidence-building measures are helping move toward gradual normalisation, while infrastructure development and capability enhancement continue under a whole-of-government approach.

Regarding internal security, Gen Dwivedi said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir remains sensitive but firmly under control, with the Army maintaining high operational readiness across all sectors.
