Staying at my friends' home and discovering their family, interesting life and cultural facts of this very exotic island. Flying the drone over the beach at Trou d'Eau and marveling at the turquoise waters of the lagoon. Witnessing the strength of the waves and the warmth of the grey sand of the Étang Salé beach. Stopping at Commerson Crater and looking down on a few hundred meters of dry lava. Taking a peek at the sand area of Plaine des Sables from above. Flying around the volcano crater at the Pas de Bellecombe and above the little red & black ant-nest-like crater of Formica Leo with views on the Piton de la Fournaise in the background. Gazing at the striking views of Grand Étang, the only big lake of the island. Being in awe at Takamaka, a place filled with striking waterfalls and lush vegetation. Changing perspectives at Cascade Niagara waterfalls. Loving every second with my wife by my side. Not being able to get the drone as initially thought because of wind and rain.
