It is the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden state visit to the United States. He arrived in New York on Tuesday where he was received by the Indian Ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj. On the second day of his five-day state visit, PM Modi will be leading the celebrations of the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations Headquarters. From there, he will leave for Washington DC where President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will host him for a state dinner on June 22.
