A short documentary chronicling the near destruction of the American Bison examined through the artwork of artist, Max Michael Coleman. Pairing surreal illustration with the dramatic flare of baroque art, this video follows the creative process of the artist's inner mind.

In the latter half of the 1800s the population of American Bison went from somewhere between 50-60 million wild animals to less than 400 in the span of 20 years. It is still one of, if not the largest and quickest loss of an entire species in modern history. “Animal Farm” is meant to startle and provoke us, but beyond that it asks a simple question: Why, must we act so horribly towards one another? and how can we come back from the brink of destruction.
