7. Weight that wouldn’t shift, food was reduced but the scale didn’t move. This shows up most often in kibble-fed dogs, where ingredient quality and carbohydrate load matter more than portion size. We also see it in fresh-fed dogs when grazing is allowed or carbs stay too high.

8. Transitioning off kibble, many owners want to move to fresh food but struggle with how to do it without digestive upset, nutrient gaps, or overcorrecting too quickly.
