Step by step, using the Permatex kit from advance auto parts, for repairing a chip in my windshield.

This kit contains a tiny tube  of UV-cure clear resin, plus some extra parts that help for applying it. At first, the instructions seemed like an overwhelming number of words. But as I carefully read each line and looked at the pictures, it was pretty straightforward. And half of the instructions were in Spanish.  so it was much less overwhelming than it seemed. 

Safelite wanted $159 for chip repair, this kit was $20. Took me about 45 min including the wait time between steps. I skipped the wait times for this video. Read the instructions to find out the exact wait times.

Note, it said to start in the shade, and then move it to the sun to cure. By the time I got to the curing point, the sun overhead had moved between the trees, and my windshield was now in full sun. So I didn’t even have to move my car.
