Here's a full BREAKDOWN of how I created the Pirates of the Caribbean LEGO video.
This project took me 2 months to complete, animating 12 shots in about a month and a half of shooting, with VFX and post-production that required a huge attention to detail to avoid the background looking fake or unrealistic.
In this video, my goal was to recreate, with a LEGO animation perspective, the scene present in the third movie of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
It all started with the release of the new LEGO #10365, which inspired me to make something with it after years of waiting for the set.
In total, I shot about 2,500 photos to animate this 1-minute sequence, with a big part of those that went into test shots and first trials.
