I know it's a terrible thing of me to show you, but today I will go through the process of making essential NPCs killable... including Dogmeat! :D It's a simple line added to the Fallout4.ini file, and it makes it so the protected actors will no longer fall to their knees upon losing all their health, but instead just die. This will break a lot of quests and progression, but it's fun and immersive!

Step 1: Navigate to the .ini file's location: C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\my games\Fallout4

Step 2: Open it in Notepad and add this line at the bottom:
[GamePlay]
bEssentialTakeNoDamage=0

Step 3: Save the .ini file and launch Fallout 4! Enjoy the freedom!
