Johannes Kern - Nerif Network: Automating Non-Core dApp Processes | EDCON2023

Johannes Kern, Co-founder of Nerif Network, presents at the Super Demo final of #EDCON2023 and talks about how Nerif Network makes the Web3 developer experience suck a bit less. He explains what a dApp looks like, saying that the business logic and smart contract of a dApp are on top of a blockchain and it also has a user interface that allows users to interact with the smart contract. But the reality is that you have a lot of moving parts. You might want to include off-chain data. You might want cross-chain transactions. You might want to process things. And all these things (non-core parts) make developing a dApp a headache, and maintenance is even worse, and many of those non-core parts are repeated on many dApps. So what Nerif does is automate it!

Johannes explains that Nerif is with the builders from the beginning, enabling developers to focus on their core product and let automation be done by Nerif, and it’s completely decentralized. He says Nerif is a separate physical network that allows us to cross chain and no one can change your work as once you’ve deployed it, you can be sure it’s executed the way you have built it.
