Coming from Dubrovnik, after a two-hour drive we reach the breathtaking island landscape beyond the Peljesac peninsula. Our campsite, one of the steepest we have ever experienced, is near the town of Orebic.

Apart from a good ice cream parlor, the town doesn't have much to offer. But our actual destination is the town of Korcula on the island of the same name, which we reach the following day by passenger ferry. Even the view of the town's fortifications on arrival is impressive.

Korcula is also called Little Dubrovnik because of its similarity. But the town is known for the world-famous altarpiece by Jacopo Tintoretto in the cathedral. After a 3-day stay, we'll continue on to the island of Hvar tomorrow. Sept 2024
