Dive into the first episode of *SteamWorld Build* as we start our journey in **Giddyup Gorge**! [00:00:00] Our mission: build a thriving city of steam-bots and dig deep into the mineshaft to find the ancient technology needed to escape this world. [00:01:36]

In **Part 1**, we lay the foundation for "Techtopia," starting with worker residential zones and essential production chains for logs and boards [00:08:11]. We focus on managing city upkeep and fulfilling basic citizen needs by introducing the General Store and Service Shop [00:07:18].

The game quickly ramps up! The arrival of the train introduces new trade mechanics [00:19:49], and we soon hit a major milestone, unlocking the second citizen tier: *Engineers* [00:27:50]. To keep these advanced bots happy and ready to repair the mineshaft, we have to begin a complex new production chain for their favorite beverage: *Moonshine* (requiring a Saloon, Glass Blower, and Sand Sifting Factory). The challenge to balance workers, engineers, and a sprawling industrial layout begins!
