Today, we share how to complete a shower KERDI-BOARD installation using KERDI-BAND.

Part 1 shared how to add KERDI-BOARD to stud walls in a tub surround.

That's the first phase.

The second phase is to make the seams and screws completely waterproof.

We also tackle the tub the KERDI-BOARD transition. This is perhaps the one part people have the most questions about.

Schluter recommends filling in the gap using KERDI-FIX the applying unmodified this-set to the KERDI-BOARD.

Then you can embed KERDI-BAND in the KERDI-FIX and KERDI-BOARD.

What about the tub spout and mixing valve? How do you seal them?

Schluter makes two kinds of pipe seal products that you can attach to the tub spout pipe and shower arm pipe.

They also have a nifty mixing valve seal.
