Presentation Summary: Beef cattle play a vital role in safeguarding native grasslands on the prairies. The Beef Cattle Research Council is Canada’s largest industry funder for beef and forage research. This presentation will highlight ongoing and past research focused on forages, grazing, the environment, and Canada’s prairie landscapes. It will also highlight tools and resources available as well as discuss future research and the guiding strategy that directs research funding.



About the Presenter:
Stacey is a Research and Innovation Coordinator with the Beef Cattle Research Council, she grew up on a Cow/calf operation in Taber Alberta and got both her bachelors and masters of animal science at the university. At the Beef Cattle Research Council Stacey works primarily in the areas of forage, environment, and cattle feeding and feed grains. n a nut shell her job is to help explain research to beef producers and explain beef production to researchers. Stacey lives on a grain farm north of Maple Creek and enjoys photography, teaching yoga, and gardening in her spare time.
