Please find below method to prepare Nuvvula Pappu Pulusu -

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tomato, finely chopped
1-2 tbsp tamarind pulp (adjust to taste)
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Toast Sesame Seeds:
Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan over medium heat until they turn golden and release a nutty aroma. Let them cool.

Prepare Sesame Seed Paste:
Grind the roasted sesame seeds into a fine powder.
Add a little water to make a smooth paste if needed.
Cook the Base:

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Sauté for a few seconds.
Add chopped green chilies and onions. Cook until the onions become translucent.

Add Tomatoes and Spices:
Add chopped tomatoes to the pan. Cook until they soften.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Mix well.

Incorporate Tamarind:
Add tamarind pulp to the pan. Adjust the quantity based on your tanginess preference.
Cook for a few minutes until the raw smell of tamarind goes away.

Add Sesame Paste:
Stir in the sesame seed paste. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
Add water as needed to achieve the desired consistency of the sauce. Bring it to a boil.

Simmer and Adjust:
Let the mixture simmer for about 5-10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
Season with salt to taste.

Garnish and Serve:
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rice
