~INGREDIENTS~

Size of cake - Approx 1 kg or 2 pounds
Measuring cup used- 200ml
Cake tin- 8 inches diameter

For Chocolate Sponge Cake
Maida or all purpose flour- 2 cups
Cocoa powder- 1/2 cup
Powdered sugar- 1 cup
Refined oil- 1/2 cup
Vanilla essence- few drops
Baking powder- 2 tsp
Baking soda- 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice- 2 tsp
Milk- 1 cup

For Icing
Heavy whipping cream (Sweetened)- 1 cup
Chopped Cherries

For Chocolate Ganache
Chopped Dark compound chocolate- 1/4 cup
Fresh Cream- 1/4 cup

Cherries and chocolate shavings for decoration
