We lived in Vietnam for 1 month.

We decided to stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. After 2 magical months in Bali Indonesia, our expectations of SE Asia were high. Unfortunately, Hanoi wasn't for us.

It was too busy, too much traffic, and too many inconsiderate people. I think all the motorbikes is what really got to me. I really didn't like getting around here.

Walking around the Old Quarter was okay, but anytime we needed to take a Grab to get somewhere, it was so hectic. We got a little used to motorbike culture in Bali, so it wasn't as bad as if we would have first landed in Hanoi. I think that would have been completely overwhelming.

We did enjoy some of our time in Hanoi, but I think one week would have been enough.

We do plan to return to Vietnam next year and stay in other places around the country. I hope our experiences our second visit will change our minds about the country.
