As a fellow mom, dietitian and nutritionist, I think it’s messed up how society glorifies starving yourself and overexercising just weeks after giving birth. We've been conditioned to idolize celebrities who shed baby weight in record time. But let's be real, that's not realistic or healthy for most women.

As someone who’s struggled with weight issues myself, I wanted to address this head-on. Don’t get me wrong - I respect my body for what it’s been through, but loving it during the postpartum period? That was tough. And all this toxic positivity or shaming people for wanting to lose weight? Not helpful at all.

I didn’t go for extreme body transformations or crash diets. Instead, I focused on sustainable, healthy changes. And got so much stronger and happier in the process. The weight loss was just an added bonus.
