Are archives missions ever coming back to Overwatch?

There is a lot that has been written, said and in my case yelled about PvE in Overwatch.
The one thing I don’t see a lot of people talking about are the archive missions. No, that’s not correct, the only time archives are being mentioned, is to down talk story mission.

“This glorified version of archives is going to suck”

But as I have pointed out many a time, back in 2019, the glorified archives missions is what we wanted. Till they showed us all they had planned and we started dreaming.

But the reason we would have settled for more archive missions before that is because we enjoyed those missions. Well most of us did. Some people still do. And they still miss them because we sadly did not get an archives event this year.

Question is, are they gone forever? Or How could they bring them back? And could they do more of them? Let's have a look!
