Svapoorna is Medha’s life skills program, currently being implemented across government schools in Uttar Pradesh. It helps adolescents become more self-aware, think critically, and take meaningful action in their communities. As part of the program, students take on a Community Project, where they identify a local issue and work together to create meaningful solutions.

In this video, we feature the community project of Class 10 students from Arya Kanya Pathshala Inter College, Lucknow. After noticing the lack of menstrual products in their school, students arranged a sanitary napkin box, maintained through student-led donations.

Students contribute ₹1–2 to keep the box stocked, ensuring that no girl has to miss school or feel uncomfortable during her period. What makes this effort stronger is their plan to pass it on, so future students don’t face the same issue.

Through Svapoorna, we aim to inculcate in young people the mindset to take charge, lead with empathy, and create change that lasts. Stay tuned for more updates!
