This is the reason I came to Panamá!! To witness the beautiful life inside one of their only remaining indigenous tribes called the Emberás.

There are roughly 33,000 Emberás left in Panamá and another 50,000 living just across the border in Colombia. While they are not as remote as other tribes I've visited (such as the Pygmy tribe in Central African Republic or the Himba tribe of Namibia) -- the Emberás have a fascinating and humble lifestyle that is completely dependent on the rainforest.

I just spent 24 hours living with one community of 24 families and I had a wonderful time. Most of them can speak Spanish, so it was easy to communicate with them, and they were very kind, open and friendly!

No Coronavirus paranoid out here -- just complete bliss and happiness!

Stay safe out there everyone, and wash your hands. We will get through this.
