Our Senior Music Therapist, Victoria, runs online music groups each week for the children and families who access our services. The groups are themed to help families to celebrate any special days or events that are happening during the week. Victoria also uses different themes to spark the children’s imaginations; such as space, weather and the wild west.

The groups provide fully accessible, positive social interactions in times of extreme isolation, and have provided countless fun-filled memories to be treasured. Families are provided with details about how they can make the sessions a full sensory experience using items to feel, see, hear and smell from around the home; this creates inclusive groups that are suitable for children and young people of any age, including those with hearing and visual impairments, and sensory needs, who often find engaging with regular online groups difficult.

Art therapy sessions can give families the opportunity to use creativity as a way to explore and express emotions and deal with difficult experiences.
